On April 27, 2024, an EF3 tornado devestated the town and community of Sulphur, OKlahoma. But Sulphur, Oklahoma is resilient and we will move forward with the Bison View 5k despite the extensive damage that occurred in the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. We hope that you will join us in supporting our community and come to participate in the 2025 Bison View 5k.

Prior to the tornado, The Bison View 5K was awarded the 2024 Winner for The Best of Chickasaw Country in the Best Run or Ride category, and we would like to thank each and everyone of you for making that possible. Thank you!

The Bison View 5k is a hybrid course that takes you through the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, and runners will have the opportunity to see various wildlife. After the race, runners can check out the City of Springs Car Show hosted by the Sulphur Rotary Club at the Artesian Hotel, Casino, and Spa. They will have booths, food trucks and more for everyone to enjoy all day!

A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Chickasaw National Recreation Area.

17th Annual Spirit of Survival

For many years, Spirit of Survival has been an integral part of the Lawton community and Southwest Oklahoma. It brought participants both locally and from around the country to participate in support of the fight against cancer. This event has been very near to our hearts since its beginning as it is a beacon of hope for those who have battled, continue to battle, or have lost a loved one to cancer.

Our goal is to be able to provide a quality event for members of the community, and beyond, to enjoy while raising funds for four locations of the Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma. The Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma would like to express our gratitude to all of the past participants of Spirit of Survival. It has been with your support that we have been able to make great strides in the treatment and accessibility to care for cancer patients across Southwest Oklahoma.
